We are on the threshold of another world, the fourth industrial revolution, dominated by the intersection of human life’s physical, biological, and electronic dimensions. 5G technology will be the soil in which this new Promised Land will take root.
We expect 5G technologies to expand throughout 2021-2022, increasing the rate of today’s wireless technologies by up to 100 times that of the prior 4G. Compared to the current technology, 5G internet provides more speed, better connectivity in more places, and improved capacity, enabling more users and devices to be connected to the Internet at the same time.
Besides, as communications are accelerated, it’s expected to reduce the energy consumption of apparatus batteries, thus reducing light intake.
To create this new technology, mobile operators are investing considerable cash in building this new age of wireless connectivity potential.
However, because the fifth generation has provided us with more outstanding coverage and faster Internet, only a few studies confirm its safety.
5G has raised a lot of worries. And that is precisely why it is essential to clarify what this technology is, what the myths are all about 5G, and what dangers are real. If 5G is bad for your health, if you’re spied on with it, it is as radical a change as they say…
Lots of men and women are still not clear about these details, and therefore here we’ll attempt to clear up any doubts.
Two key aspects could change the way we connect to the Internet. First, the jump we’ve been talking about for a long time and where even though there are already companies that tell us 5G is here, it’s still a great unknown for many users. So, is 5G harmful?

Health Risks Related to New Technology
This is the first time we’ll be using wireless technology like 5G. But, unfortunately, there is currently a lack of scientific research that would confirm how the complete 5G deployment will affect human health.
The major problem is 5G radiation, which isn’t the typical exposure to EMF (electromagnetic field radiation). Instead, EMF radiation comes from electronics (e.g., phones, microwave ovens, computers), using a bit of EMF radiation, getting more harmful than others.
There’s some evidence that millimeter waves are primarily absorbed in a few millimeters of human skin. Therefore, in the eye retina’s surface layers, prolonged exposure to millimeter waves may cause cancer, such as melanoma, eye cancer, and other diseases like infertility.
Scientists believe that 5G radiation may also result in other short- and long-term health dangers by changing our peripheral nervous, immune, and coronary systems.
This is only a tiny portion of what we might face.
Since 5G operates at greater energy frequencies than 4G, possibly harmful EMF radiation may affect consumers.
Deploying 5G networks doesn’t mean you must panic. Below, you’ll find the necessary data you can use to get a better comprehension of these networks. You’ll also learn what steps you can take to secure your house and your life from 5G.
Doing this makes it possible to minimize exposure to 5G beams and put them in a 5G protective device that can neutralize harmful electromagnetic waves.
Is 5G dangerous to people’s health?
First reports and investigations
The discussion has led to several reports and studies that try to reassure users. For example, in September, IEEE Future Networks, the individual responsible for 5G, released its report on vulnerability and radiofrequency.
Anyway, experts in the area have been called on to present their knowledge on this 5G dangers topic. A decision will help users get more information on this topic, which should help dispel their concerns.
Fears of 5G
They’re called millimeter waves since they vary in length from 1 to 10 mm, and till now, the only radar and satellite operators have used them to make software in the world.
Using 5G millimeter waves enhances the Internet as they can transmit more information, and buildings and trees can interfere with this.
Therefore, 5G demands a more streamlined cell infrastructure (a new technology replaces the conventional cell tower). These small cells will need to be in virtually every structure if the provider wishes to create a reliable, constant, and widespread network in the current environment.
To cover the same area, the fifth-generation network requires dozens of cells to be 800 feet apart. This dense constellation of 5G mesh channels means that the net will encircle our homes, exposing individuals to the most significant potential risk of 5G radiation, potentially causing a public health hazard.
One of the significant concerns is that 5G’s antennas, being smaller, are in areas such as rooftops, street lights, signs, or bus stops. They are, therefore, located closer to people.
Because their range is restricted, more of these antennas are available.
However, one advantage of these tiny stations is that they won’t transmit as much electricity as the present towers because the policy areas are more modest. As a result, the effect of radiation on which people are vulnerable would be. We expect 5G to be set up in two stages. The first is already underway, functioning in circles closer to the spectrum section, under 6 GHz.
Another question is whether the millimeter-wave bands are secure. It’s clarified that because the radio frequency of these mobile sites is on the spectrum of non-ionizing radiation, it’s not the radiation that may damage DNA or cause cancer. What it can do is raise the temperature of the tissue, which is harmful if overexposed.
Although these waves are secure, monitoring them is asked to guarantee protection from 5G. The most scientific community doesn’t believe that there’s a problem or threat. But they agree that staying awake and in control is vital. Despite this recommendation, many opponents call for 5G not to be implemented until it’s safe.
How to protect yourself from 5G radiation effects?
Radiation sources have become more prevalent; people will need to understand how to protect themselves from any 5G dangers and possibly undesirable harm. Here’s how to guard yourself against 5G waves:
Keep Away from devices that emit EMF radiation, mainly if they function in 5G mode.
Some mobile device makers, such as Apple, urge their clients to practice enough spaces from the device, thus lowering their vulnerability to 5G.
When you sleep, keep your phone from any other area, or place it in flight mode, it won’t have any signal.
When you’re on the move, place the phone in your backpack or purse, or use an EMF radiation protection device.
Protect your house from 5G tower vulnerability
With 5G protection devices, you can protect yourself from 5G towers, cell stations, and EMG-emitting apparatus (e.g., Wi-Fi, 4G, etc.).
5G Mind Control
There are still gray areas that one need not discuss, at least not out loud. These are veiled aspects, which are the object of critical study not precisely from the think tanks which meet in world economic forums but by others, whose profiles are more discreet and reserved.
What are they searching for in controlling 5G technology? What almost always stays underground within the disagreements, blurred by military and economic arguments, is that the middle of the great dispute is nothing aside from 5G mind control.
This isn’t a technical problem but new planetary alchemy. You’re a node inside the network of international control and the display that accompanies you nearly everywhere, the gateway into this other system.
That is what we call ‘imaginational’ war, the battle where the battle is civilization, and the weapon is recent information and communication technologies. It’s a battle for and against symbolic hegemony to set up a specific way of conceiving and interpreting the world.
We could consider what occurs in a symbolic world doesn’t influence the actual world. However, it’s far more critical than you might think. No social or political impact has been steered through the fanciful.
That’s to say, the kind that capitalism, democratic society, faith, the breeding of the species itself, the connection with planet earth, will take, will pass through this sieve.
Alarmism about 5G would be unfounded
At the opposite end of the spectrum is the belief that the launch of 5G is a vast mind-control experiment, a successor to the CIA’s MKUltra experiments.
There’s also the fear that 5G will lead to a substantial gain in the number of towers. Also, in the amount of energy being emitted throughout the radio spectrum, in a harmful manner.
The Guardian cites the belief that the tech hasn’t yet been examined. As a result, the installation could be an experiment on the general populace. The publication notes that there’s widespread frustration with “what’s perceived as a fait accompli, introduced to the public as an unstoppable force of nature, as opposed to a consultative process of discussion.”
Based on Scott Petty, Vodafone’s technology manager, some misinformation comes from America, where a specific 5G will be implemented, which uses some radio spectrum called millimeter-wave or mmWave technology.
This form hasn’t been used before in cell phone networks, mainly because it’s not suitable; it’s more easily blocked by things like glass or trees within the high-frequency spectrum. “While there’s a straight line of sight, it may carry more information than areas of the spectrum used for cellular phones, but it’s not enough to make it worthwhile,” says Petty.
Using mmWave has enabled a few alarming inferences to be made.
The physics of 5G
Before diving into 5G conspiracy theories, it’s vital to note that the new benchmark is a set of different technologies. Technically, it’s just the fifth generation of wireless technologies, which may cover a broad array of frequencies.
Low-frequency radios offer a relatively slow Internet connection. But they can travel interminable distances.
At the other end of the spectrum are high-frequency or millimeter frequencies (mm-wave).
Mm-wave relations (mmWave), also called “considerable frequency,” are much quicker but always struggle to overcome obstacles and can’t travel interminable distances. On the other hand, Medium-band frequencies, as expected, provide medium-speed connections over moderate distances.
The alternative theory suggests that 5G might create the coronavirus, which is formally called COVID-19. Supposedly, both the launch of 5G and the first instances of coronavirus happened in late 2019.
The cause of this was that the many conspiracy theories spread on social networking, which were encouraged by some entertainment and sports celebrities.
One such theory tells us that a new coronavirus has appeared in Wuhan since the town recently started deploying fifth-generation networks. Because of this, the pathogen supposedly continued to spread to other settlements, where 5G beams had also been set up.
However, this theory doesn’t explain how the virus appeared, for example, in Iran or Japan, in which the new standard hasn’t yet been introduced.
Among those who supported the rumors about 5G was Hollywood celebrity and “Actual Detective” star Woody Harrelson, who printed an excerpt from an article on the connection between the new benchmark and the coronavirus on his Instagram.
“Many of my friends are discussing the negative effects of 5G. My friend Camille sent me this, and although I have not yet tested the concept, I find it interesting,” – wrote the celebrity.
The singer behind the hit “Paper Planes,” M.I.A., also spoke out against 5G.
“I don’t think 5G will help disperse the COVID-19. However, 5G slows down the healing process as the body becomes used to the signs of new frequencies,” – the artist said on his Twitter.
The widespread distribution of 5G counterfeits has directed YouTube to promise to eliminate videos explaining that the probable link between the new standard and COVID-19 content is “medically indefensible” and could deceive users.
There are many ways to disprove this theory. First, China recently started launching its 5G network, but this technology also was executed in South Korea and parts of America.
If 5G resulted in the coronavirus, then the virus could have appeared in other areas of the planet first. However, this theory ignores the very nature of viruses and also the fact – incontrovertible at this stage – that radio waves don’t affect the progression of an infection.
Research has proven that coronavirus spreads through saliva droplets from somebody who talks, sneezes, or coughs (and has the virus). These droplets can adhere to specific surfaces for hours and might even stay in the atmosphere for two minutes after a sneeze.
Radio waves, however, are a form of an electromagnetic wave: no droplets of any kind are involved.
Although radio waves can travel through water, it’s considerably more challenging to do this than through air.
Maybe places with top rates of coronavirus disease might be the same as regions with 5G, but this is true because operators have deployed their networks in highly populated metropolitan areas.
Moreover, highly populated areas – where people are near each other – have also facilitated COVID-19 and other viruses.
Last but not least, there’s the fact that China isn’t yet using mmWaves because of its 5G networks; it’s merely using sub-6 GHz waves, which can be from the mid-band spectrum.
We have used these radio waves for different signals for ages. All 4G towers use frequencies within this range.
There is no proof that 5G can be about the coronavirus. 5G doesn’t have any harmful effects on the human body – the radiation level doesn’t exceed globally accepted norms.
Can 5G technology cause cancer?
Theories about cancer brought on by 5G have existed for some years, and it’s most likely because of using the word “radiation”. But, of course, all radio waves “radiate,” but that doesn’t mean that they harm human health.
Only the upper end of the electromagnetic spectrum, which includes X-rays and gamma radiation, is “ionizing,” meaning that they can break molecular bonds and damage DNA.
We call the rest of the electromagnetic spectrum ‘non-ionizing,’ and its wavelengths are too long to damage human cells.
The highest of the 5G waves is well below the border between ionizing and non-ionizing waves.
There is real-world data on the effect of radio waves. While 5G has only just been implemented, we’ve lived among waves with similar frequency ranges for decades, and several studies have linked the use of those waves to increased cancer rates.
Does the 5G network control your mind?
Can someone use 5G for mind control? This is one of the furthest theories from being accurate, and it is false.
As stated, 5G wireless waves have had no visible effect on human health, so 5G “physically” can’t be used to control people’s minds.
For many, however, this concept has other elements: 5G is used to control tiny robots injected into the body through vaccines.
It sounds like science fiction… and it’s wrong. Today, nobody has mini-robots that can control people’s minds.
A myth about 5G danger
5G technology causes the use of new stations and antennas, but in precisely the same way, it requires lower energy levels than 4G.
According to the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), an independent organization recognized by the WHO: “the maximum level of radiofrequency to which someone could be exposed by 5G (or any other signal community areas) is so small that no increase in temperature has been observed to date”.
The FCC points in precisely the same direction, and through its manager explained in a letter the effect of 5G and its position: “The FCC relies on the experience of health organizations and agencies for exposure levels. These associations have extensive expertise and experience in radiation-related issues and have spent a substantial amount of time analyzing published scientific data in research on exposure limits”.
There aren’t any actual use cases for 5G
From 5G, you will find beautiful explanations of how it will affect businesses as different as the autonomous automobile, virtual reality, trade, or smart cities.
But are there any appropriate instances today where we have successfully tested this technology? Of course, most of them are trials and tests, but they’ve been completed and got excellent results.
There are many regulations at the worldwide level that determine the safe levels of radiofrequency exposure. There are two bodies for this: ICNIRP and IEEE have their own rules or regulations.
These regulations are updated annually, the latest being two months ago.
In any case, different states may apply unique rules. Therefore, from the last update of those criteria, the constraints for the local vulnerability (for frequencies above 6 GHz) were put at a lower level.
Belgium, India, and Russia, among others, have set even more restrictive limits. Therefore, each nation can take extra measures to make sure that the installation of 5G is secure.
